Loyal supporters of the actress are demanding that a individual who jumped a barricade and seized the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be detained or deported from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past photographers and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being arrested", though legal records indicated that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed features videos of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney concert in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last December.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Numerous fans blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another comment on Instagram.

Some fans also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others requested online networks to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Many of fans had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it started.

The motion picture, to be released on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual interpretation of the popular theatrical musical Wicked, which centers on the surprising relationship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The show itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a light pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, winning two for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
