'Our Mission Involves Exclusively Executing' - The Way The Sudanese Brutal Militia Conducted a Mass Killing

Caution: This Account Includes Disturbing Descriptions of Executions.

Militiamen laugh as they ride on the rear of a utility vehicle, speeding past a series of nine lifeless forms and driving facing the descending African sun.

"Observe such accomplishment. Observe this instance of mass destruction," one shouts.

The fighter beams as he points the video equipment on himself and his companion combatants, their RSF badges clearly shown: "They will all perish like this."

The combatants are exulting in a mass killing that humanitarian officials fear claimed the lives of over two thousand people in the African urban center of al-Fashir in recent weeks.

A City Cut Off from the World

Following their control of the community under siege for almost two years, from late summer the paramilitary force proceeded to consolidate its position and prevent access for the surviving civilian population.

Satellite images reveal that troops started to construct a massive sand wall - a raised dirt embankment - around the perimeter of al-Fashir, sealing off roads and preventing humanitarian assistance.

During the encirclement worsened, 78 individuals were killed in an RSF strike on a mosque on September 19th, while the United Nations said dozens more were killed in drone and artillery strikes on a refugee settlement in October.

Explicit Video Shows Defenseless Civilians Shot

By sunrise on late October the militia conquered the remaining army defenses and took control of the central compound in the urban area, the headquarters of the Army Division, as the military pulled back.

Perhaps the most horrific videos to emerge and analysed revealed the aftermath of a mass killing at a university building on the west of the urban area, where scores dead bodies were observed spread across the area.

A senior person wearing a traditional garment was seated alone surrounded by the corpses. The individual rotated to gaze as a combatant equipped with a rifle moved along the steps in the direction of the individual. lifting his rifle, the gunman fired a single shot at the victim, who dropped to the ground still.

"How come is this person still living," a fighter exclaimed. "Execute this person."

Orbital photography captured on October 26th seemed to verify that shootings were also conducted on the thoroughfares of al-Fashir, based on a report released by the university analysis team.

An witness who spoke said they had observed "numerous of our family members being executed - they were assembled in a single location and all killed."

RSF Commanders Attempt to Implement Public Relations

Following the events that followed the massacre, RSF commander admitted that his fighters had committed "violations" and said the incidents would be investigated.

Part of the arrested was after a report detailing his murders. Carefully staged and modified video shared on the paramilitary's authorized social media platform depict the commander being led into a cell at a prison on the perimeter of al-Fashir.

Simultaneously, the militia and connected social media channels commenced seeking to alter the account.

Content depicting its fighters providing aid to residents were disseminated by various users, while the militia's communications team published multiple recordings allegedly to display the compassionate handling of army captives.

Regardless of the online effort being deployed by the paramilitary, their actions in al-Fashir have generated worldwide anger.
