Ex- Doctor Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a former doctor stands accused of performing assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
The Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – including some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official stated, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what police called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
Breakdown of Charges
The charging documents said the 45 charges he is charged with:
- 15 counts of assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
