Clair Obscur Sweeps at the 2025 Golden Joystick Ceremony
The 43rd annual Golden Joystick Awards took place recently, and through an impressive show, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was crowned the most decorated winner. This standout role-playing game from Sandfall Interactive secured the esteemed Top Game award, along with prizes for Best Storytelling and Excellence in Visuals.
Enhancing the studio's triumph, the skilled cast also received personal awards. Jennifer English was named Best Lead Performer for her performance as Maelle, while Ben Starr won Best Supporting Performer for his role as Verso. Furthermore, Sandfall Interactive the studio received Top Studio. Altogether, Clair Obscur and its developers achieved seven awards throughout the ceremony.
Other notable winners featured Ghost of Yōtei, which won Outstanding Audio and Best Console Game, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, receiving Outstanding Independent Game and Best PC Game. Worth mentioning, the bulk of Golden Joystick Awards are voted on by the gamers, with only four special—Critics Choice, Breakthrough Award, Hall of Fame, and Streamer Selection—decided by critics.
