On Monday, the court heard call records and evidence retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt persistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout the past two years.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a family holiday in Portugal - is among the most widely reported child disappearance cases and is still unsolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One voicemail, presented in court, captured Ms Wandelt declaring: "I know I'm overweight and unattractive like Madeleine was, but I know what I know."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording said: "What if there is a tiny probability that I am she? What then? Isn't that important for you?"

"I do not need money, I have a living here in Poland, I only wish to understand," the message continued.

The panel was informed that through electronic messages, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt requested a DNA test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a bid to demonstrate a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.

The investigator, an investigator with the police force who compiled the evidence, informed the court there "seemed to lack any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also communicated with family friends of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On that date, Gerry McCann responded to a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's recording saying "I won't give up and I plan to establish my point."
